A longtime legal professional with a passion for helping animals, Horace Nalle serves as chairman of the board for the Atlanta Humane Society. Horace Nalle fights against animal homelessness in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area, helping to improve the safety and wellbeing of local pets.
The Atlanta Humane Society makes it easy for all pet owners to spay or neuter their furry friends with their mobile spay and neuter service. The surgical utility vehicle travels around Georgia, stopping in underserved communities outside of major cities. Residents of these areas often lack the funds or transportation necessary to seek out spay/neuter services in major metropolitan areas.
Pet owners schedule appointments ahead of time through a network of host organizations. Due to space and time constraints, walk-in appointments are not accepted.
Thanks to help from the Holland M. Ware Charitable Foundation and other local partners, the mobile facility charges just a fraction of typical veterinary costs. The organization charges $35 to spay cats, and $40 for dogs. If needed, a rabies vaccine and identification microchip can be acquired at no extra cost.
